Scott
Benson is currently a member of the Minneapolis City Council. He
completed his undergraduate work at St. Olaf College and is a cum
laude graduate of Georgetown University Law Center. He worked as
a commercial trial attorney at Dorsey & Whitney before joining
Briol & Associates in 1998.
From 1993 to 1995, Mr. Benson served on the board of the Gilbert
and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company. Recently, he appeared in
the role of Ko-Ko in Theatre in the Round’s production of
Mikado. He is a frequent lecturer and was an Adjunct Professor of
Law teaching insurance law and professional responsibility at Hamline
University Law School.
Mr. Benson is admitted to practice in Minnesota and the District
of Columbia.
